Philosophy

We believe education starts at birth. The first years bring windows of opportunity that open a child's life forever.

We use the Montessori curriculum and philosophy, but we combine it with other early childhood philosophies as well.

- Montessori: Children are an individual, and their learning interests and abilities differ from child to child. Children go through growth periods and if the environment is right, they will learn from it. Montessori class is split into five learning areas: practical life, sensorial, language, math, and science/geography.

- Reggio Emilia: Children learn through art and creativity, therefore, art is an important part of our curriculum.

- Steiner Philosophy: Children learn by imitating adults and by role play. Children get to have creative play indoors and outdoors.

Curriculum

We follow the Montessori curriculum. We also offer a diverse range of extra-curricular activities as part of our curriculum.

- Multi-age grouping: Children are grouped in mixed ages and abilities. There is constant interaction, problem-solving, child-to-child teaching, and socialization.

- Learning Centers: Each class has centers for math, language, practical life, sensorial, and science and geography.

- Role/Imaginary Play: A portion of the school morning is devoted to uninterrupted imaginary play in our purpose build town center.

- Art: We include art heavily in our curriculum, and ensure children are in an aesthetically pleasing environment.

- Organic Nutrition: We serve wholesome, nutritious foods at our center. Children are provided with a morning and afternoon snack, and lunch. Lunch can also be brought from home.

- Extracurricular activities: Different activities offered to our children include cooking class, music and movement, and gardening.
